Five Organisations Supporting Scotland's Changing Families

Five organisations with an impressive record of delivering training together developed this training programme designed to meet the needs of professionals who work with families.

'For Scotland's Children' an Action Plan from the Scottish Executive in 2001 expressed concern that there were "no staff currently specifically trained to work with families." The training comprehensively addressed that need in the area of changing families.

The training was designed for use in multi-disciplinary groups, and was intended for all staff who work at a range of levels with children and families in the social work, health and education fields.

The training organisations share common values which were reflected in the manner of training and benefited from their combined expertise.
