Volunteering with OPFS
One Parent Families Scotland welcomes volunteers, either on a short or long term basis. We have benefited from the skills of students, work placements, individual lone parents and interested members of the public.
The valuable work volunteers have carried out in the past includes database work, library maintenance, collection of press cuttings, membership, researching and writing of fact sheets, press interviews and reception duties.
We try to provide a volunteering experience that will match your interests and give them an opportunity to develop your own skills.

Media volunteers

NationwideWe are always looking for lone parents who are willing to speak to the media.
We are frequently approached by journalists from newspapers, magazines, radio and television requesting an interview with lone parents on a variety of issues.
